Canadian Heritage committee Thank you, Madam Chair. [Witness spoke in Cree] Greetings, my friends. The flame of my spirit greets the flame of yours. I'd like to begin by acknowledging that we are gathered here today on the unceded territories of the Algonquin nation. I would also like to bring greetings from the city of Edmonton on Treaty 6 territory, as well as from the Sucker Creek Cree first nation of Treaty 8, which is the territory of my people, the Sakawithiniwak.
